Silk'n or Tria Laser Hair Removal Machine?

Hi,

I have been watching your vidoes, trying to decide, which out of the two laser hair devices to buy.

I am of indian origin, and have facial hair on my face and neck, inherited from my dad's hairy side. I have tried laser removal at Harley Street, in London, and it made a difference for a while, but the hair came back because I could not afford the treatment any further. I'm not able to decide, what will suit me best out Of the Silk 'n and Tria?

Please could you help me decide, if Silk 'n is suitable for facial hair removal?

Laser hair removal

Hair can grow back even after laser hair removal, which is why top up sessions are normally required. Salon lasers will generally be stronger than home lasers. The Silkn & Tria are both very good machines so it really comes down to price and which one appears better. We cannot say definitively which one is better but note the TV review on the website, which shows the Silkn results were better for the journalist who tried the 2 products. Laser is suitable for use on female (not male) facial hair, but always ensure you look at the skin chart first to assess your suitability, read all instruction, watch the DVD first and patch test when first using it.

I have a lot of chest and belly hair would either of these laser machines be suitable for removing it?

Hair Removal on the Chest or Belly Area

Subject to you having the suitable skin type, you can use the Tria or Silkn to treat unwanted body hairs on the chest and belly area. As with any hair removal product, ensure you carry out a patch test first and read all instructions before use. You will also benefit from using Kalo after hair removal to further reduce hair growth.

Hair Removal

I'm Indian too and I used Tria on my arms and it's working. I have noticed a 50% reduction so far. I'm too scared to use it on my face in case it causes any pigmentation damage. I've emailed Harley recently and they have an offer of a full course of 6 sessions for £360 for a full face.

Laser Hair Removal at Home

Care must always be taken when using laser machines. Ensure you read all instructions and carry out patch tests. If you have any reservations about using home hair removal machines, then it is best to take professional advice and treatments from a salon, and consult your doctor.

The Rio Scanner laser come complete with everything you need. Unlike IPL units (like the Silkn), the Rio Laser hair remover models do not have parts that need replacing. Also, with the Rio lasers, there is no limit to the number of shots and therefore we cannot say what the lifespan will be. Note, the Rio lasers come with a 2 year warranty, so if the unit fails after that time, it will not be covered under the warranty.

Wink Silk'n SenEpil

I use Silk'n laser hair removal gadget and i enjoy using it at home and the fact that it is painless makes it a great tool. I never had to wax again. I save money since I have it, and I only payed 499 once! I love it, and I recommended.

Can't use Tria on the face

According to Tria's website, it can't be used on the face. I was going to buy it, but since I can't use it on my face I would rather get something that works everywhere.... is there such a device?

We called Tria today and they confirmed that the Tria laser can be used on a woman's face below the nose, i.e chin and upper lip areas.
