Hair Loss Explained

“Hormonal changes can cause hair loss by directly affecting the cells responsible.”

Both men and women lose hair for similar reasons. Hair loss in men is often more dramatic, and follows a specific pattern of loss which has been termed “Male Pattern Baldness.” This loss is caused by dihydrotestosterone (DHT), the resulting product of direct contact between the enzyme 5- alphareductase (found in the skin and the scalp) with the hormone testosterone. DHT binds to receptor sites on the scalp and hair follicles and interrupts and interacts with the normal chain of events involved in continual healthy, hair growth.

Nisim Shampoos and Hair and Scalp Extracts have been clinically proven to safely and effectively neutralize both surface and dermal DHT. Many of the hormonal changes that women experience throughout their lives can result in hair loss. For example, some women lose hair after a pregnancy, during menopause or other hormonal imbalances. The hair follicle cannot maintain a healthy growth cycle without the proper nutrients. It may even eventually fall out and die.

How Does NISIM work for treating hair loss?

The shampoo removes the surface Dihydrotestosterone “DHT” on the scalp. DHT is the most recognised cause of hair loss.

DHT is the naturally occurring hormone resulting from the enzyme 5 alpha reductase when it binds with testosterone.

DHT in turn binds to the hair growth cells prohibiting proteins, vitamins and amino acids from feeding the hair follicle..
