Tend Skin Ingrown Hair/ Shaving Rash Solution - 16 oz (472 ml)

For men and women. Tend Skin is well known for improving the appearance of razor rash and bumps, clearing up and preventing ingrown hairs, whether from shaving, waxing, or electrolysis. For women, Tend Skin works amazingly well on bikini lines, underarms, legs and face. For men, Tend Skin is ideal for use on the face and neck.

Tend Skin Liquid is especially formulated to combat ingrown hairs and razor bumps (Pseudofolliculitis barbae, PFB). Razor Bumps (pseudofolliculitis barbae): Razor bumps are created when the growing beard hairs exit the skin, curl over, and burrow into the adjacent skin, resulting in an unsightly bump. Razor bumps form on the beard areas of men-mostly Black men and about 15-20% of Caucasian men.

Ingrown hairs form when hairs, growing back after shaving, waxing, electrolysis, or other hair removal method, and fail to grow out of the skin. The hairs curl over inside the follicles under the skin (just like the razor bump hairs curl above the skin). By curling, then creates and unsightly bump.

How to use :
For best results, apply a thin layer of Tend Skin on the skin after hair removal, once or twice a day. It is best not to tweeze or exfoliate, especially on the same day as applying Tend Skin.

Note: Tend Skin has exfoliating properties that may cause excessive exfoliation resulting in a burning and possible discoloration of the skin if used with other exfoliating products. Therefore, do not use Tend Skin together with other skin products containing: Alpha hydroxy acids Retin-A Abrasive scrubs or loofahs Benzoyl Peroxides Alcohol. Also, people with a true allergy to aspirin should not use Tend Skin. If you find Tendskin too harsh on the skin, consider using one the following milder (but equally effective products): Priva Power Shave or Kalo Ingrown Hair Spray.

    Great Product for Black Skin/hair

Very good for thick afro hair whether you're shaving your face or your head. The amount of ingrown is reduced almost to none.

    Works for me

Posted by Matt on 4th Jul 2018

I used to suffer from a very itchy and blotchy neck following shaving. I had ingrowing hairs that caused spots which then split when shaving. I tried new razors, electric and "real" - none stopped it. I discovered Tend Skin in the USA and have used it ever since. Within a few days of using after shaving the blotching reduced dramatically. After teasing out the existing ingrowing hairs the spots have since stopped. I find not using it for a few days my neck gets red again and the pesky hairs start ingrowing again so make sure that I use it at least once a day. In the beginning I used it once after shaving and then before bed as per instructions but now only use it once a day. There are the occasional few ingrowing hairs that rear (or hide!) their heads but mostly I'm clear.
